Biochemistry, sometimes called biological chemistry, is the study of Chemical Processes within and relating to living organisms. Biochemical processes give rise to the complexity of life.

Latest Invention of Biochemists - 

A chemical reaction pathway central to plant biology have been adapted to form the backbone of a new process that converts water into hydrogen fuel using energy from the sun. Scientists have combined two membrane-bound protein complexes to perform a complete conversion of water molecules to hydrogen and oxygen.

Salaries for Biochemist vary by company. Salary estimates are based on salaries submitted to Glassdoor by Biochemist employees. Those in scientific, management and technical consulting services earn a median annual salary of $100,780, followed by biochemists in pharmaceutical manufacturing at $76,110.
