An autonomous institute falling under the ambit of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, NID is famous for offering design courses in specialisations like Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. There are a total of seven NIDs in India.

Only those candidates born on or after July 1, 1992 , are eligible to apply for admission. Note: Foreign citizens (candidates holding citizenship of any country other than India) are eligible to apply for NID entrance exam 2022 only under the overseas category, provided they fulfil all the eligibility criteria.

NID 2022 Application Form has been extended till 6th December 2021. NID (National Institute of Design) conducts national level entrance exam known as NID Design Aptitude Test ( NID DAT ). Through this entrance exam, the qualified candidates are offered admission in B.Des and M.Des courses. Selection of candidates will be done through NID DAT held in two stages – DAT Prelim and DAT Mains . Candidates successfully qualifying both the stages will be eligible for admission in various NID campuses located in Ahmedabad, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Assam & other places. Through this article, we have provided complete information related to NID Entrance Exam 2022 .

  • The online registration process has been started from 5th October 2021.
  • Applicants can fill application form through online mode.
  • The online application process involves various steps – Signup/ Registration, filling details in application form, uploading of documents and signature, payment of application fee and printing of application form.
  • Last date to apply for NID 2022 is till 30th November 2021.
  • Candidates can also submit their applications after the last date with payment of late fee.
  • For the candidates who want to make changes in the details of application form can make correction from 6th to 13th December 2021.
  • Students must fill all the information correctly otherwise the application will be rejected.

The syllabus for NID 2022 consisted of various topics such as Composition, creativity, general mental ability, communication skills, and sensitivity to the environment, drawing skills, & subject of design. As far as studio test is concerned, it comprises of various sections and that too in so many formats like the practical assignment, group discussion and lots more.

NID Syllabus for NID DAT exam 2022 will consist of various topics :
Comprehension, Knowledge and Visualization, Creativity, Memory Drawing, Drawing Skills, General Mental Ability, etc.
M. Des: General/ General- EWS/ OBC- NCL
B. Des/ GPDP: General /OBC-NCL/ General -E.
