The academic year for all BITSians starts on the 1st of August. As the first yearites are new to the campus, they are called 2–3 days before the registration day( registration day is the day. where you make your time table of the courses). This is done just to get them used to the workings of the campus and are given an overview of the courses and the teaching methods. The academics start at the same time for all the year-ites..
But first years have to come 4-5 days early to get admission, orientation and stuff.. For first years, it's in the last week of july . The academics usually start by 1st-3rd August or something.. Do check up with BITS, Pilani on the exact dates for all the procedures this year..For the admissions, the orientations and stuff..
