JEECUP happens to be the official gateway to the UP Polytechnic College. JEECUP 2020 is divided into groups (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I, J and K) and the syllabus and the exam pattern differs from course to course. JEECUP is going to be held in offline mode. 100 questions are to be asked with the students needing to complete them in 3 hours.

For Group K5 (Information Technology), the syllabus is expected to be based on ITI (2 year’s course) trade-wise and Class 10 ^th , 11 ^th & 12 ^th as per the course syllabus of the UP Board.

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics will carry a weightage of 40% while Information Technology will carry a weightage of 60%.

Since topics in JEECUP 2020 are mostly based on the UP Board Syllabus for Class 10 ^th & 12 ^th , the textbooks prescribed by the board are recommended.
