Hello Sakshi ;

Getting into ISRO, being a scientist; I can tell it is going to take long long time. Under ISRO's jurisdiction, they've set up Asia's first space university. It's called IIST and it is the safest and more accurate route to get into ISRO. Than there are other IITs and colleges of aerospace engineering.

1st way:

IIST ( Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology ) is completely government aided institute for research of space science. It is located in the city of Thiruvananthapuram at south coast of India. The procedure to get into IIST is totally dependent on your JEE advance rank. But to give JEE advance you need to clear JEE main first. So, it's a two way process. IIST have their separate counseling process after JEE advance ranks are declared.

2nd way :

Even though there's a very slight chance, but some students from different IITs and other engineering institutes with a degree in aerospace engineering get a chance to get into ISRO. Students from renowned IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT kharagpur , IIT Madras have got into ISRO in a very huge numbers. Colleges like HIET Chennai, MIT also get a humongous chance of getting into ISRO. A provoking example may be about APJ Abdul Kalam from MIT getting a chance at being ISRO chief. But here you've to apply for the ISRO test separately after getting your degree on engineer or scientist basis.

So, the field is wide open and a curious brain will always find it's way.

Hope it helps!
