CBSE will be better in general. The syllabus is more aligned with the examinations, and literature in the ICSE board is a million miles above what's taught in the CBSE board. So that can be counted as an advantage as well.

As JEE Mains syllabus is NCERT which is followed in CBSE. In my opinion there are many reasons to join CBSE.
