Both MNIT Allahabad and Kalyani Government College are very good institutes for pursuing engineering but my recommendation would be to go for MNIT Allahabad.

MNIT Allahabad is having higher Nirf ranking comparatively and and the colleges having Legacy of of many years.

As your not mention any specific departments I cannot specify you about a particular department of Engineering but MNIT is a better college comparatively as it has good infrastructure, very good faculty and the College placements are also very good with supporting professors and very good Labs.

Thus, MNIT Allahabad is having an upper hand compared to Kalyani Government College.
