According to me, both the courses have equal oppurtunities to plan a good career. Studying economics and history, you can choose any career option from banking to archaeologist. Having economics as a major paper will always help you have a grip over commerce and having history as a major paper will lead you to have better scope in research and field work and also with this, you can try your hand in lectureship. Having English as a major paper, apart from having oppurtunity in academics, it will help you to crack TOEFL more than any other subject if you aspire to go and study in abroad. English will help you choose career personal options like lexiographer, writer, professor and you can also try for civil service examinations while studying any of the three subjects as major paper.

Dear aspirant!
Its not like one course is less important than the other or one course is better than the other. Both of them are quite good. It just depends on which field you want to continue your career with. An English related course of study is always interesting. If its what you want then choose that else choose the other. But make sure to do whatever you want to do with passion.
