Hello aspirant,

In the periodic table which is a representation of all the 118 elements in a tabular form featuring all the characteristics be it physical or chemical, presence of radioactivity etc was proposed by Mendeleev, the group in the periodic table in which it contains only the metals is Group 2A. These are also known as Alkali Earth Metals. The metals contain this group are beryllium (Be), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Se), barium (Ba) and radium (Ra).
