Dear,
Let me tell you that JEE is conducted for admission in various NITs and IITs whereas MHTCET is conducted for admission in various state government colleges of Maharashtra. JEE is completely based on CBSE 11th and 12th (PCM) syllabus and MHTCET on state board 12th (PCM) syllabus strictly. If you are clear about where you want to get admission you can decide accordingly. I would suggest to appear for both exams as you will have a lot of options available depending upon your interest.
Hope this helps!
Hello Sarthak
Well, the MHCET is conducted by the maharashtra education board; and is primarily based on the state board syllabi of class 11 and 12. In the CET, there are 150 questions( 50 each in PCM) which have to be attempted in 3 hours. There are no negative markings. For physics and chemistry it is +1 for each right answer and for maths it is +2. If u see the CET paper, it has quite a bit of theory too. Now as far as JEE is concerned, it is at a higher level with ncert syllabi as the base. In the JEE, there are 90 questions(30 each in PCM) which have to be attemped in 3 hours. There are negative markings too. Also JEE MAINS consist of a single paper but JEE ADVANCED consists of 2 papers. And it contains a variety of types of questions like single answer, passage based, one or more than, matrix match etc. And this makes the paper quite high level and difficult. I find CET papers quite boring and dry, but JEE papers are always nail biting, tough and interesting to solve.
