Hello aspirant!!
NIT Surathkal is far more better than IIST as nirf ranking of NIT Surathkal is also better than IIST and as your branch is concerned it will be best option as placement scenario is also much good and if you want to go for further research then faculties are also very much supportive there but in IIST infrastructure is quite average. But all depends on your keen interest.
Thanks!!

Hello aspirant

Both colleges are good and good courses also. Mechanical in surathkal is good with 100% placements.

Coming to aerospace is good field with plenty of opportunities in iisc banglore. It is best at research

The choice is yours
Hope this helps you
All the best!

Aerospace is very much like mechanical engineering . You will also learn flight dynamics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, space mission designing etc. So if you have an inclination towards mechanical side go for it!! But I EMPHSIZE "it is YOUR choice depending on what you have to do later"
