I've studied in resonance kota and have cleared Jee advanced ( currently in IIT Bombay). All I can say is that resonance has very experienced faculty who are iitians who develop the curriculum. If you manage to get into the top batch you will be taught personally by iitians. I've talked to some of my peers from Akash and felt that their methology focuses more on genius students than those who are average while resonance has more focus on average students too to get more number of selections than just top ranks. But mind you you need to work like a horse to keep up with them...

Both institutes are good enough to make students prepare for competative exams like IITJEE and NEET. You can get Study material of any institute you want. But here the faculty creats the difference. As they have to make students capable of solving any kind of problem.

Aakash institute is much more than resonance for iit jee and advanced ,also it is better than any other institute .the study material given to the students is much more better than any other coaching institute in terms of quality and quantity for iitjee and advanced .also after every topic they give special assignments , and also after every 14 days there will be a fortnight test , they also provide special books like success achiever and success magnet for jee mains and advanced respectively. For real examination feeling , they monthly conduct aiats for jee mains and advanced , the faculty is also advanced and always helpful for clearing doubts .so aakash is much more better than any institute.

Since you want to enquire about IIT JEE preparation, Resonance will be a better option since the study material provided has a lot of advance level questions. On the other hand, Aakash institute is majoryly famous for their NEET prep course. Also, try asking students who have previously studied in these institutes and take a call. Now is the right time to start your prep. You can also join one institute, and get the study material of the other, in order to get the best of both worlds.

Aakash would be a better institute for IIT JEE preparation. If you secure good marks they wouyld give scholarships. Before joining Aakash, write the tests given by them and you could land in some scholarships. They provide study materials, give proper tests. I would recommend you to join Aakash.
