Hello,
TO clear Jee main with good marks, you have to be expertise in basic concepts which you will get in NCERT which is written in very simple words and explained with diagrams. After getting the concepts, you should solve the problems for which you can refer any book which gives you lots of questions like O.P. Tondon. The book is best to give you questions and solutions. It comes for Physics and chemistry. For maths you can use arihant.
You have to solve all the questions by yourself along with understanding the steps and why it is solved in that way, which will make you able to solve any question which will be given to you.
After this much you can move to previous year papers or mock test to know how questions are asked in the exam and to test yourself by appearing the mocktest.
They play a role of 3rd place just to give you confidence but you have to do first two steps else 3rd step holds no value. You will forget everything is exam hall due to nervousness.
So Best of all is practice you do in concepts and numerical part.
Hope it helps!
