Both are English courses which analysis poetry.  English literature focuses on the written works of the authors. Texts will be from every part of the world, literature includes screenplays, nonfiction, song lyrics, online communication etc. Whereas this comparative literature deals with cultural expressions, national, geographic and disciplinaries.
