All the 4 IIITs(Jabalpur, Gwalior, Allahabad and Kancheepuram) are placed in the group below IITs and above NITs by MHRD. These IIITs allocated more funds than NITs. So IIIT Jabalpur is good for research programs(M.Tech and PhD) than NIT Jabalpur .



Moreover IIIT Jabalpur has collaboration with Universities of Japan which isnt the case with NIT AP.



Jabalpur is far better and safer than NIT AP and even more developed. Considering all the factors above, IIIT Jabalpur would be a better option to go for.
