NCERT would be best for Theory in boards , and if have taken PCB then its your choice, if u wanted to do HC VERMA or not..Its your choice....Its not compulsory...

If taken any coaching, read/SOLVE their books for problems...

dear student

Start your preparation with NCERT Physics for theory and conceptual clarity

For IIT physics, read HC Verma and solve its questions. it conatins objective type questions  which are helpful for you to understand type of questions that could come in exam .

For problem practicing :

Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker.

previous years IIT-JEE/Jee Advanced Papers.

Problems in General Physics by I. E. Irodov (optional).

hope this helps

All the best!!!
