The aptitude test examines candidates’ intuitive ability, observation power in the development of a concept and design ability. Along with that, creative and innovative use of illustration and color skills are tested. 

Any entrance exam for fashion design admissions comprises following basic sections-

• English Comprehension: This tests the candidate’s ability to comprehend a situation from a given passage, along with a test of basic English language.

• Case Study: This part will be a test of a particular situation of an industry environment. It will evaluate candidates’ managerial ability.

In order to crack this exam, first of all you need to upgrade your observation & visualisation skills. There’s a myth among students that only good sketching is essential to score high. This is not true, as developing the aforementioned skills are equally important.

Moreover, having exceptional drawing skills and creativity are useless if you don’t have speed. The whole idea is to be able to present your imagination and uniqueness in a limited time.

Practising sample papers as much as you can is mandatory. This will give you an idea about the types of questions that will be asked. You will know the overall difficulty level of the entrance test as well. Moreover, this will aid in increasing your speed to a great extent.
