Hello ,
Let me first tell you that , the entrance exam for getting admission is CAT for MBA , and these two IIM are one of the top 5 IIMs and the procedure is very hard to secures that , because first you have to clear CAT with the required cutt off for both , overall cut off and sectional cut off , but the then also , it does not only depend on the CAT score only because in IIM -A ,they all maitain the diversity of the students from all the branches , like if you are from engineering branch then the competition would be really high and the cutt off for engineering will go very high but if you are from BSC , then the competition is less so the cut off won't be so high , so this might be the reason for you not getting shortlisted ,then after this criteria comes the academics , in which you will be given points on the basis of your 10 th , 12th and graduation marks , then your work experience will also be counted , and even you will get weightage for the extra curricular activities you have done , strong overall it depends on how much strong profile you have build up , and the rest is how good you perform in the interview , so after clearing all the procedure for selection , you can get admission .
Hope it helps ,
Thank you
hello,
IIM a ,c are one of the best IIMs. lot of competition is there , and from a huge number of students less are selected , also weightage is given to the percentile you have secured , and not much to other things and criterias , so it is tough to get into these IIMs , even with a percentile score of 95 , you wont get into these IIMs , there are very rare chances.
so, yes because of strict and very competitive selection criteria , you might not have been selected for IIM a,c .
hope it helps.
