total number of seats in All NITs is 17,390.
so yes you can get admission in NITs with this rank.
but you can et any Top NIT and also you have to compromise with yuor branch.

Hello aspirant,
To prepare for the entrance exam it is important for the candidates to be aware its syllabus I think you will get your preferred branch in your home state NIT but right.now focus on Her adv only except top two or three NITS you can get.all of them..Now.all the things come.down to choice of branch

Hello candidate,
With your mentioned rank you have high chance of getting NITs. Although, you will not be getting core branches at the older NITs , You might secure a seat in mechanical or civil in new NITs. You can easily get biotechnology, production, metallurgical and materials engineering at NITs.
You can use the college predictor tool available on the platform to predict which colleges you can get.
