Hi Rohan,

As you might know the CSE and IT has now become a more desirable stream in engineering , this has created a huge demand in the seats and hence now all the cutoff for cSE and IT has been very much high, and the admission to college is also based on the caste if you go for counselling.

As you are of OBC and 8999 is not a so better rank though it is pretty decent  for TS EAMCET because lot of people get priority over you even though you have better marks due to their caste,so CSE in top colleges will be a little difficult to get , unless you go via management seats .

I will provide a link of a college predictor so that you can see which colleges might admit you for yours rank and caste.Provide the necessary details and allow the predictor to predict the college that might admit you.

Hope this helps.

Dont lose hope!!

Good Luck!
