Will I have to give NFAT exam for Msc Forensic Chemistry??.. If yes...what is the syllabus for MSc Forensic Chemistry and where can I find pyqs ?
Hello,
Admission into MSc Forensic Chemistry varies depending on the university you are applying to. Some institutes conduct their own entrance exams, and NFAT (National Forensic Admission Test) is one such exam conducted by a few universities like NFSU (National Forensic Sciences University). If you are applying to NFSU, then yes, you need to appear for NFAT. Other universities may admit students on merit basis (B.Sc marks) or their own test.
For NFAT MSc Forensic Chemistry, the syllabus generally includes undergraduate-level Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry), basics of Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and fundamentals of Forensic Science like toxicology, crime scene investigation basics, and instrumentation (Spectroscopy, Chromatography, etc.). You should also brush up on general aptitude and reasoning because most exams include a section on that.
As for previous year question papers (PYQs), they are usually not widely available online since NFAT is relatively new. But you can find sample papers and model questions from NFSU’s official website or contact seniors/alumni from forensic courses.
