Will MU take students of NEST? Give details about this?

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007.
In the academic year 2019-2020, CEBS will admit students through the following 3 routes:
- Through NEST: Students will be admitted based on merit-ranking in the NEST examination.
- Through KVPY: Selection will be based on rank obtained in KVPY examination. If more than one student has the same rank, the marks obtained in the 12th standard will be the tie-breaker.
Category-wise distribution of seats under KVPY:
General category - 6 students
OBC category - 3 students
SC category - 2 students
ST category - 1 student
- Science olympiad medallists
One must satisfy the following eligibility criteria for admission:
- Candidates in General and OBC category should be born on or after August 01, 1999. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.
- Candidates should have passed their intermediate (class XII) either in the year 2017 or 2018. Candidates appearing in 2019 are also eligible. If the result is in grading system, a certificate from the Board specifying equivalent percentage marks will be required.
- At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates and for Persons with Disability (PD), the minimum requirement is 55%.
- Candidate should secure a position in the NEST merit list.
Courses offered and seat details of CEBS, University of Mumbai:
CEBS offers a 5 year integrated M.Sc. programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical sciences. The degrees at CEBS are awarded by the 150-year old University of Mumbai.
Tentatively, there are 45+2 seats this year with reservations as per government norms, including two seats for candidates from the state of J&K and reservation for persons with disability (PD).
