Hello Saravanan,

The normalisation procedure takes place when an exam is conducted in various slots or shifts, since not all slots are of different difficulty level, therefore the marks obtained by candidates need to be normalised so that they can be treated on the same scale and the results are fair. As such, if two candidates of different shifts have the same marks, then after normalisation the candidate that had attempted the more difficult paper would get more marks after normalisation while the candidate that had attempted the less difficult paper would get less maks after normaisation.

There is no normalisation in comparison to previous year papers.
