Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) program in Marine Biology shall be for a minimum duration of one year, including course work and a maximum of two years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by Berhampur University, Berhampur.


Eligibility Criteria

A candidate having an M.Sc. degree in Oceanography and Marine Biology is eligible to take admission into the respective streams after successful completion of an entrance test conducted by the university followed by an interview. The entrance test comprises of one paper of 100 marks (50 marks for objective type questions and 50 marks for short answer type questions).
