The School of Liberal Studies at BMU offers a four-year BA (Hons.) degree with an exit option in the third year. The BA (Hons) in Liberal Arts at SoLS will empower our students to create their educational trajectories through informed choices. In our programme, students, along with their faculty mentors are expected to curate their academic path in consultation with their faculty mentors to choose a major that makes sense for their professional, personal, and civic goals. At BMU, flexibility is key. Applicants have the autonomy of selecting from among numerous majors—economics, psychology, or sociology—without the pressure of declaring their major until the middle of the second year. Students will complete the required foundational courses during their first three semesters while exploring their intellectual interests through electives. The second and third years will be devoted to major and minor coursework, while the fourth and final years will focus on individual research and internships.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants appearing in their class 12 examinations through any of the Boards affiliated to the Council of Boards of School Education in India.
Students studying for the IB Diploma awarded by (IBO) Geneva should have a minimum of 3 subjects at HL and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL) to be eligible to apply.
Students appearing for Cambridge/IGCSE examinations must have a minimum of 3 subjects at A Level and English at O Level to be eligible to apply.

Applicants who are Foreign Nationals/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indians (NRls)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) must be appearing for the qualifying examination or equivalent from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Admissions Offer and Financial Aid Assessment:

Selected students will receive an Admissions offer
Outstanding students will automatically be considered for Merit scholarships
Selected candidates may apply for financial aid which will be granted on a sliding scale from 0-100% based on applicants’ financial background
