Course Overview
The Film Studies certification is a completely student-oriented course, the sequence would present core principles in film studies, significant conceptual aspects of filmmaking, master cinematographers, and main film concepts. Since becoming acquainted with the important encyclopedia of theatre, the early roots of the film as a unique cultural commodity will be discussed, focusing on its technical/ideological parameters.
The links between cinema and other genres of production such as literature, theatre, music, photography, etc. will be described in-depth in order to establish the interdisciplinary nature of film as a cultural artifact in the entire Film Studies training. The essential chosen for the course will equip the learner to approach cinema as a form of media with a distinctive selectivity. As a moderation session in the Film Studies program, students will be given feedback on the written communication of film production reviews and vital scholarly journals on cinema.
The journey will equip place through four main components: the structural features of the film, major film movements, classic cinematographers and their selected films, and conceptual dissertations on theatre. Eligibility Criteria
Work experience
No such work experience for applying for the Film Studies program is required. Candidates can apply for the desired program without any prior experience in the field.
Education
No such prerequisite is required in terms of education qualification criteria is necessary for applying for the program. Candidates can take the course without such requisite whereas since this is a postgraduate program, some elementary background study about film studies would surely help.
Certification qualifying details
In order to qualify the certification criteria, candidates should complete the Film Studies by Swayam entirely along with that they need to complete both the evaluation aspects of the course. The candidate needs to acquire 40% as merit in internal assessment and 40% as merit in the end-term examination.
