There are total 1500 Seats in various institutes offering BALLB under Calcutta University, out of these only 1035 are for general category candidates and your rank is 2046. As there will be around 1000 candidates with more score than you in their kitty and still craving for a seat just like you, in the Merit List; this makes your chance of getting a seat really tough. Despite this fact you have more chances, if any, of getting a seat in Institutes which are offering Self-Financing programme. I hope it helps, Best of luck!

You have littile chances for Kalyani Engineering College. There are lots of good college under WB JEE.

Going by Law School Ranking done by Careers360 both are good, while University College of Law, Osmania University, Hyderabad is a public funded law institute and ranked 26th with 278.68 score among govt. institutes with AAA rating, at the other hand School of law, Christ University is a private funded institute ranked 10th with 267.36 (AAA rating) in its category. If you go by user rating UCL has got 4/5 while CU got 3.5/5 which tilts the balance towards Osmania. Both are good options, finally it's you and your dedication, passion and interest which will see you through and help in becoming good lawyer. I hope it helps!

Details on how to process admission will be available on Offer of Admission through ‘Application Status’ link on the University website.

Candidates are required to choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate smooth admission process. Admission must be processed at the Office of Admissions, Central Block, Christ University, Hosur Road, Bengaluru – 560029.

As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode. Payment options and details will be provided to selected candidates through ‘Offer of Admission’ on ‘Application status’ on the University website. Fees for first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

Admission will not be processed without the presence of the candidate and the mandatory ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and one set of photocopies mentioned below;

1. Class 10 Marks Statement (Mandatory).

2. Class 12 Marks Statement (Internet printout) (Mandatory).

 3. Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last qualified institution (Mandatory).

4. Migration Certificate of Class XII (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka State Board) (Mandatory).

5. One Stamp size and One passport size photograph formal dress with white background (Mandatory).  

6. Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).

7. Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt).

8. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:

    a] Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).

    b] PIO / OCI have to produce the copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).      

    c] Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and

    d] Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)
