An introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching training course is designed to provide graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and the future STEM faculty with an introduction to effective teaching strategies and research that supports it. This course is designed to equip the teachers of tomorrow with strategies and methods to impart learning to their students. This course will help teachers to learn about effective learning principles and teaching practices to help them with their careers as educators.
The goal of this course is to empower the next generation of STEM faculty to be effective educators by improving the learning experience of the students that they will teach by learning about optimized teaching practices and strategies, they can change the lives of thousands of students that they would teach in their careers.
Taught by experienced faculties, educational researchers, and staff of STEM and university teaching centres with many of them affiliated with the Center for Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL), this course aims to improve the teaching practices of today to bear fruits tomorrow with educationally empowered students ready to take on the world.
