Course Overview

The Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling certification course is more comprehensive and analytical in nature. The course will focus on basic knowledge of combustion and is supposed to enhance the architecture of industrial combustion systems by increasing the stability of the flame, enhancing the performance of combustion, and reducing the creation of contaminants.

An integrated understanding of theoretical and numerical aspects of combustion will be discussed in this course, especially in the field of unstable turbulent combustion. The Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling training is provided with each and every module of the certification syllabus. The course will later lead by the debate will continue on fundamental techniques and recent developments in the fields of turbulent combustion, thus maintaining crucial ties with the underlying fundamentals of combustion.

The Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling certification will provide a structural verification that a student has successfully passed the course with effective training that will help the candidate to pursue any further course in the same respective field in the upcoming future. In this particular course, an analytical approach towards each and every module is given that will enhance the learning of the students.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

The candidate should have a good build-up strong understanding of thermodynamics, basic turbulence, basic combustion, and fluid mechanics to apply for the Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling certification course.

Certification qualifying details

Upon effectively submitting for the same course, the claimant will receive 25% of the evaluated marks in the assessment at the time of the internal evaluation and 75% of the evaluated marks in the final-term paper; the applicant may obtain Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling certification after meeting these criteria.

What you will learn

At the end of the completion of the Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling programme, the candidate will learn the following concepts:

  • The segments of combustion and its relative significance will be introduced to the students.
  • The students would be presented with the basic principles related to thermo-chemistry.
  • The syllabus would focus mainly on understanding heat and mass transfer.
  • The most significant elements of thermodynamics and their importance will be learned by the candidate.
  • At a detailed point, the key distinction between functioning and running separate modules would be obvious.
  • Thermodynamics will be added to the Turbulent Combustion: Theory and Modelling certification syllabus curriculum.
  • Also in between main modules, more focus will be given to turbulence modeling.
  • The theoretical method will lead to the study of premixed laminar flames.
  • In each and every essential module of the course, a rigorous theoretical method will be used.

Who it is for

Following candidates can apply for this course:

  • The candidate who comes with a background in automobile, chemical or power generation, aerospace, or in defence industries can apply for this course significantly.
