72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time three/five-year Doctoral program and it is offered by the National Institute of Technology Goa. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of five years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

Eligibility Criteria
Master’s degree in Sciences or Humanities / M. Tech. in the relevant area with a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 60% marks in both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels from recognized Institute or University. For SC/ST candidates a minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks.
Admission Details
Candidates will be considered for Ph.D. programme in Applied Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences departments on the basis of:
- GATE score or CSIR/NBHM/UGC-NET qualification.
