This certificate course Environmental Pollution Events and Emergency Response Introduction is a beginner-level course programme in which the syllabus is framed to analyse and discuss the environmental issues both inside and outside China. The course uses several seminars and case studies for exploring incidents such as Rhine river pollution, London smog pollution, Beijing haze pollution and Tianjin explosion, etc, and analysing these cases.
These courses will impart about the cause and consequences of pollution affecting the atmosphere. The course will explore the emergency management system for environmental conservation and students will gain knowledge about real-time pollution issues and enhance their ability to manage any environmental emergencies around them. The course will be run for a duration of 15 weeks and the schedule for the course will be mandated by the instructor. The programme requires the student to put a minimum effort of 2 to 3 hours every week into the curriculum.
