Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment course aims to provide participants with essential skills and knowledge to improve the healthcare system through the proper application of economic principles. The course recommends participants to have a sound internet connection and a computer with specifications as mentioned below -

Certification Qualification Details  

Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment course offers two separate certifications. One is for those participants who have completed the teaching modules only and have not participated in the learning project. 

The other Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment certificate will be offered after the successful completion of the teaching modules as well as the learning project.

Knowledge of Economics

After the completion of the Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment course, participants will be able to guide technical specialists with designing and undertaking policies. They will be able to identify and combine clinical research. EEHTA will help them recognize best practices in commissioning and examining economic evaluation. Learners will also have a better understanding of other factors in policy decision making, for example, societal value, ethical, legal, social and cultural implications of technology use.

Studying health economics can help explain and resolve many limitations related to healthcare. EEHTA training includes a detailed investigation of particular types of health service institution or organisation, from an economic perspective. The course aims to provide its participants with an in-depth knowledge of economic evaluation and its application to maximise healthcare, therefore some prior knowledge of healthcare as a patient, provider, administrator or a student of the topic will be helpful. The economic evaluation will also require some necessary math skills. The course is for any healthcare professional who wants to make healthcare easily accessible to everyone around the globe. 


Admission Details

The application form requires the participants to fill in their necessary information which consists of the course name, personal introduction, contact details and their resume/CV. 

In addition to this, participants are also required to write a paragraph consisting of 500 words describing their reason behind joining the course.

The Syllabus

Each module is accompanied by an assignment as suited to its topic. After the completion of the teaching modules in the first five months, the participants can choose a topic of their interest in undertaking economic evaluation. Proper mentoring will be provided to the learners on a case to case basis, the course, however, will not provide any separate funding for data collection.
