The Indian Government and Politics course being offered by Swayam is a core course in B.A. Political Science under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). This course has been designed to provide the learner's knowledge and understanding about the functional, philosophical and theoretical aspects of the Indian Politics.
The course will give an in-sight into the diverse perspectives regarding the Indian Political System along with the Social movements and constitutional provisions. Participants of the course will be given a detailed understanding of the fundamentals of Indian Political System from varied perspectives, the philosophical basis of our Indian Constitution, implementation of the Directive Principles of State Policy and Fundamental Rights as given in the Constitution, Institutional composition and functions of Indian Polity, Social concerns in India and Political approaches towards them, Political Economy of our State and the nature and impetus of the various social movements in India.

Swayam shall provide course certificate for the Indian Government and Politics course to those participants who appear and secure 30 percent in course assessment and 70 percent in the end term proctored examination.

This course will be instructed by Aijaz Ashraf Wani (Ph.D), who is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Kashmir.
A course certificate will be given after the participants appear and secure 30 percent in their internal assessment and 70 percent in their end term proctored exam.
Indian Government and Politics course does not have any course credit.
