Agnibina School of Education, located in Lohapur, Nalhati, Birbhum district of West Bengal, is a renowned school for teacher education, the college is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and follows a merit-based admission process. For D.El.Ed and B.Ed courses, admissions are carried out on a merit basis. The selection process is as per norms laid down by the affiliating university and state government. Aspiring candidates should have passed in a suitable discipline to be eligible for the B.Ed course.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
There are 50 seats in Agnibina School of Education for the D.El.Ed course. Admission to D.El.Ed is also merit-based, as in the case of the B.Ed course. The merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, or other such selection as notified by the state government or U.T. Administration. Candidates who pass the 10+2 or equivalent examination are generally eligible to get admission in this course.
