The Diploma in Elementary Education course of Al-Barkaat Institute of Education also has an approved strength of 100 seats. Admission to D.El.Ed is based on merit and is regulated by the following rules:

• Admission is on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entry test.
• Admission process is as per the policy decided by the state government or UT Administration.

Applicants eligible for the selection are shortlisted on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination or entrance test, as the case may be. Final selection is strictly on merit as per the guidelines of the state government.
