AIPS is the constituent college of Amity University that is dedicated to the field of psychology and its allied disciplines. It is situated at Sector-125 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The institute provides a number of programs in the field of psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The faculty strength of the institute is 46, so it provides an enriching academic environment to the students. Being a co-educational institution, students from AIPS come from different walks of life. AIPS offers a total of 16 courses in 7 degree programs, specialising in branches including clinical, applied, counselling, and organisational psychology. 

AIPS has state-of-the-art facilities as adjuncts to its academic pursuits. The institute has a very good and vast psychological literature library. This exposes the student to a variety of resource materials. The availability of a computer lab and working well beyond midnight when necessary means that one can carry out more effective and intensive research. One major sting point is a psychological laboratory well-equipped with many psychological tests and equipment for students to take part in practically conducting experimentation and analysis. The institute provides both boys' and girls' hostel facilities in the campus itself so that students who need accommodation may avail of it and can live comfortably. There are sports facilities in the campus, with inter and intra-college tournaments in football, cricket, and basketball for physical fitness and health to complement academic development. 

This institute offers all types of courses, from full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programs to doctoral ones; it also offers part-time and diploma courses. These range from Undergraduate degrees in Applied and Clinical Psychology to Postgraduate degrees in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, and Organisational Psychology. For advanced studies, AIPS offers M.Phil in Clinical Psychology and Child and Adolescent Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. The institution also offers BA-MA in Clinical Psychology, an integrated course that caters to the demand of students to move into postgraduate studies from undergraduate studies in the subject.

AIPS's admissions are conducted to screen and select the most deserving applicants for the various courses. The selection process is through video responses to questions postings on the Admission Microsite, in the BA and MA programs in Applied and Clinical Psychology. This novel initiative of the institute only eases the process of gauging the communication skills and subject knowledge of a candidate. This also holds true in case of the following postgraduate and research programs - MA Counselling Psychology and Ph.D. Clinical Psychology: The written admission test is subject-based, which is followed by a personal interview. Such a two-tier mode of admission shall screen students for aptitude and potential passion for the course enrolled. AIPS has very strong industry connections. Its Training and Placement Cell coordinates the campus visits and the recruitment process with prospective employers.
