About Amity School of Communication, Gwalior

The college was founded in 1986 as Amity School of Communication located at Maharajpura, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh is one of the constituents of Amity University. It is a co-educational university, and its mission is to prepare the media talent for tomorrow and communication specialists of today. Located on a 100 acre land, the school has various programmes in creative journalism and mass communication. At present, the institute has only 8 faculty members which ensures that the students get a professional environment who want to make their careers in media and communication field.

Basic infrastructural facilities needed by the students of Amity School of Communication are available in line with modern facilities available in other developed school. The institute operates in large air-conditioned lecture theatres and classrooms to provide the best learning atmosphere. One noteworthy of the campus is the 610-seater buffet which is a lively resource for conferences, cultures, and industries. For health concerned students, the college is well equipped with cricket grounds, football, basketball and volley ball grounds, indoor games facilities and many more. It has wireless networks, therefore students can use the internet and other related services’ anytime of the day.

Amity School of Communication provides four different courses in the specialisation of journalism and mass communication. These are a three-year first degree, full-time, BA programme, a two-year first degree, full-time MA programme and full-time and part-time PhD programmes

The Amity School of Communication, Gwalior, has designed its admission procedure to select enthusiastic students committed to building a career in the field of media and communication. The Institute follows a comprehensive intake procedure so as to ensure that the best candidates are selected for their programs. 

The eligibility criteria for various programs may differ at the program level. However, generally speaking, for undergraduate programs like the BA Journalism and Mass Communication, students eligible for application are those who have passed their 10+2 from a recognized board. For postgraduate programs like MA Journalism and Mass Communication, candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree stand eligible.

Application Process

MA Journalism and Mass Communication: A two-year full-time postgraduate program for students who have obtained their bachelor degree. Admission process looks into the undergraduate scores of the candidates, and may include an additional entrance examination or interview. Total fee: Rs 2,12,000.

PhD Journalism and Mass Communication: Full-time PhD program for candidates having their master's degree in a relevant discipline. Admission process mostly includes submission of research proposal followed by an entrance test and interview. Total fee: Rs 1,92,000.

PhD Journalism and Mass Communication (Part-Time): Part-time doctoral program for working professionals pursuing research while actively working. The admission process resembles that of the regular PhD program. Total fee: Rs 1,89,000

According to university placement data, over 2,280 offers were made during the Amity University placements 2021 drive, where companies such as Yamaha, KPMG, Deloitte, IBM, and Accolite, among others, visited the campus placement drive. The placements are good and the highest placement package that is INR 21.5 LPA and the Average placement package is INR 5 LPA And the lowest is the 3.5 LPA. The NO. of Recruiters were around 340  and offers 2, 280.

Actually LPU is always a better choice.

As LPU aims to make the professional education stretching from local to global level and make it the class room based to web based education.

At LPU day by day the curriculum keep changing and the new curriculums like AI,  IOT,  virtualization,  cloud computing,  big data and many more are added.

Frequent workshops are conducted those are make the students expert in the field of current technologies.

Also the placement view is also very clear in case of getting a good job.

So you should go for lpu.

JECRC is a better option than Amity when it comes to MA Journalism and Mass Communication. Amity is known to be one of the most popular colleges but JECRC is definitely an underrated college. Both the coleges offer a great academic curriculum and also the placement opportunities are great in both of them. The only difference is what you want to choose personally.

If you come from a good financial background then you can go for Amity but if you come from a middle class family and want to choose something that is going to be worth it then go for JECRC. This is because JECRC offers great facilities, education and placement opportunities. They have a much more affordable fee than Amity. Amity charges 11 lakhs for this course but JERCR charges only 2.75 Lakhs for the whole course.

The highest salary package offered in Amity if 35 LPA and in JECRC the highest salary package offered is 44 LPA. The average package in Amity is 10 LPA and in JECRC is 9 LPA. The choice is yours now.
