Anbu College of Nursing, Komarapalayam is one of the most reputed nursing colleges in Tamil Nadu, South India started in the Year of 2008. This co-educational college is located in a 7.92 acres land and under section 2(f) and 12 (B) of U.G.C notified under INC Act, 1994 it is an affiliated college approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The college has total enrolment capacity of 105 students, and the complete faculty strength is 32 and it provide various Nicaragua nursing courses.

The Anbu College of Nursing is equipped with variety of contemporary amenities with a view of enhancing students’ academic and individual development. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls on campus, The hostels have individual cot, cupboard, and bathroom for each occupant. The hostels also comprise of the better half of the recreation rooms and study halls. With more than 3,000 books and different national and international journals this library is constantly in a process of buidling its digital base. In addition to the Erode District headquarters hospital with 650 beds in the college campus the college manages its own hospitals known as Sugam Hosptial and Karunya Hospital in Bhavani.

Anbu College of Nursing has a total of 8 courses and all the courses are off campus, full time. These are under graduate courses such as B.Sc Nursing , post-basic B.Sc Nursing and post graduate course M.Sc in the various specialties. It also teaches a 4 years course of General Nursing and Midwifery carrying a strength of 20 seats.

Anbu College of Nursing, Komarapalayam, is one of the premier nursing colleges in Tamil Nadu, South India. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) recognizes its affiliation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, so the nursing programs are organized within the college. Admission processes are conducted in Anbu College of Nursing to select the most competent students passionate about nursing , thus providing an all-round focus and quality education for aspiring nurses. Admissions are usually conducted each year and the academic year normally starts in the August-September period.  An Asian College of Education is said to be very strict in the selection of nurses to ensure that they are dealing with only those suited to such a demanding field of Nurse. 

Application Process

Anbu College of Nursing, Komarapalayam, involves the following in the application procedure:

1. The first step would require a candidate to visit the official college website to find the application form of the program being applied for.  

2. Fill personal and educational details in the form.

3. An application fee, as demanded by the college, should be paid on or before submission.

4. Completed Application should be returned with these things enclosed.

  • Latest 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Transfer of studies
  • Conduct certificate
  • Community certificate (only if SC/ST)
  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Any other documents as specified by the college for the particular program opted for

5. Further documents that would include GNM/B.Sc Nursing degree certificates and registration certificates from the State Nursing Council would be required from applicants applying for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing.

6. The application, along with all supporting documents, should be submitted before the specified deadline.

7. A shortlisted candidate may be subjected to an entrance exam and/or interview as per the program in tandem with the selection process of the college.

8. Academic performance, entrance tests (if any), and interviews conducted (if any) will determine the final eligibility.

9. Successful applicants will also be notified through email or post, and the candidates concerned will undertake the full admission procedure, along with the payment of fees and submission of original documents for verification.

10. Sit for orientation and start classes in compliance with the academic calendar.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: This is a 4-year undergraduate program with a 50-student intake. Admission to the B.Sc Nursing program is usually dependent on the candidate's score in the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Minimum percentage criteria may be set by the college, and candidates need to fulfill such criteria.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This particular program has an intake capacity of 40 and was designed for registered nurses seeking further qualifications. The applicants need to have completed a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and must possess a valid nursing registration certificate.

M.Sc Nursing: M.Sc Nursing courses offered at this college include specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. There are 5 seats per specialization for 25 seats for the M.Sc program. Admission is based on merit with consideration of each candidate's B.Sc Nursing performance and possibly an entrance test and/or interview.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): This is a 3-year diploma program, admitting 20 students. Admission to the GNM program usually depends on the performance in the 10+2 examination. Preference may go to those taking the science subjects.
