VP Muthaiah Pillai Meenakshi Ammal Engineering College for Women, Srivilliputtur recognised in the year 2002, is exclusively an engineering college for women in Tamil Nadu, India. Located on a large campus of 100 acres, this is an AICTE-approved affiliated college. It has an overall enrolment capacity of 240 students and a faculty strength of 78 and provides various engineering courses. This institute offers twelve courses in two qualifications to advance different branches of engineering. Furthermore, as an all-women college, it also helps to increase the number of female technical students in the region.

VP Muthaiah Pillai Meenakshi Ammal Engineering College for Women has several facilities, which are modern, to improve the learning process for the students. A neat and well-furnished girls’ hostel, including modern arrangements for cooking and comfortable dining halls for out-station students. Currently, the campus has a 24-hour dispensary with its own full-time doctor, a clear indication of the college’s concern for the health of its students. For physical fitness, a well-equipped gym is also there to build up the muscles of the respective individuals. 

A college library functions as an information centre for learning activities within the college. The facilities that fans of sports can enjoy include basketball, volleyball, and sometimes badminton fields. The institution also supports very good IT systems to ensure it catches up with technological development. Comprising more than 100 seats, the cafeteria also serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to its guests. This college centre and auditorium provides a venue for various other events and seminars to ensure that the college is active.

It has a total of 12 courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate level education for women in VP Muthaiah Pillai Meenakshi Ammal Engineering College for Women. The undergraduates include full-time BE/B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, and Civil Engineering. Also at the postgraduate level, the college offers ME programmes in Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives and VLSI Design. The total approved intake for all courses offered is 318, with 60 for major undergraduate programmes and 12 for each of the postgraduate courses offered.

The admission procedure at Arul Tharum VPMM College has been framed to include the most deserving female candidates who seek to continue their education in the field of engineering.

All admission at the college is done based on merits for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduate admissions take into consideration the CEETA score when a candidate appears in the Common Engineering Admission Test. It is a comprehensive test for evaluating the capabilities and knowledge of pretentious engineering applicants. For master's degrees, admissions are finalized on the basis of CEETA-PG, thus getting people with the right capabilities on board for advanced studies.

For undergraduate programs, eligibility requires completion of 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects as core subjects. Degree-wise Admission Process 

B.E. Programs:
There are several programs taught under B.E. at Arul Tharum VPMM College, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Cyber Security. As per the CEETA scores, students get admitted to these courses. A total of 60 seats each for CSE, EEE, ECE, and IT keep civil engineering with 30 seat intakes. These new programs of AI & ML, AI & Data Science, and Cyber Security have also been opened with 30 seats each.

B.Tech Program:
The college offers a B.Tech program in Information Technology with an intake of 60 seats. Similar to B.E. programs, consideration will be given for admission based on the CEETA score.

M.E. Programs:
Postgraduate offered programs include M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, and VLSI Design. All these programs have an intake of 12 seats each. The admissions will be done on the basis of CEETA-PG scores, so that meritorious students applying for admission into those M.E. programs would be selected on the basis of their having performed well during their undergraduate studies and being good at advanced studies.
