Berhampur City College, Berhampur was established in the year 1960 in the state of Odisha, INDIA is one among the premier institute of the region. This affiliated college located in a large area of 41 acres has long been preparing youth for more than half a century. Besides, the Total enrolment is 1,605 with 27 faculties it has 18 courses in 6 degree programmes. Berhampur City College has got the certification from National Assessment and Accreditation Council – NAAC which states their adherence to deliver quality education. It is indeed diverse with its specialisation running through humanities, science, and commerce which can meet the needs and wants of an aspiring student.
Berhampur City College is equipped with a host of facilities that is meant to improve teaching as well as the development of students of the college. The focus of these comforts are a spacious, two-floor library which is named after the legendary freedom fighter the Late Laxmi Narayan Patnaik. Such a vast library having text books and other reference books, for the start had been dedicated and inaugurated by the ‘Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha’. Another thing is the convenient access of possessing college’s well-equipped department and relevant laboratories for the students learning through practice in different fields. Regarding physical health, the college provides a Gym and other amenities for any student who loves sports and exercises to maintain a balance between study and exercise at the college.
The college at present has 18 courses in total in the arts, commerce, and science faculty. The college offers its own full time courses for different subjects under BA, B.Com and B.Sc Hons. courses and choices in more than one specialisation. The major courses taught are B.A Political Science, History, English, Oriya, Economics, Education, Philosophy, and Journalism and Mass communication etc. For the sciences, the college has the B.Sc physical and Mathematical sciences such as mathematics, physics, botany, chemistry, zoology, and electronics. For commerce lovers, there one which is the B.Com programme which offers a specialisation in Accountancy. A diversified course teaching and learning approach provides students with every chance to achieve their academic and career aims.
It also accredits the college with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC, to attest to the quality education offered.

Admissions to these courses are also merit-based with respect to the student's last year performance in his/her 10+2 exam, especially from science streams.
B.Com. Courses: Berhampur City College has a B.Com. Honours course with specialization in Accountancy. Admission is merit-based on the performance of the candidate in his/her 10+2 examinations, with preference given to commerce-related subjects.

There is a large book collection for students in the large library next to the counter. There are fully equipped biochemistry, physics, and chemistry labs available. There are also Wi-Fi-connected smart classrooms available.
City College is good for graduation in backup

Our college has all the basic amenities such as bathrooms, spacious classrooms, library, labs, canteen, auditorium, parking area, etc. Yes, not maintained pretty well but still okay to use all the requirements.
