BMEF Surat Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Bhagwan Mahavir College of Education, Surat (BMEF Surat) that holds a promise for the best future teacher. The college runs all the courses through a merit-based movement into the institution that gets competent people for all their programs. Accreditated by NAAC, BMEF Surat is also approved by NCTE. It provides quality education in the area of teaching. The admission criteria at BMEF Surat are fair and open to scrutiny. They follow different policies that are prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, and the University. This means that whether one relies on the grades in the mandatory causative examination or entrance, it would all apply. 

Thus, students are independent, and they have a selection criteria for admission based on academic scores followed by some aptitude towards the teaching profession. The college usually follows the academic calendar prescribed for the affiliated university and the state education department, Each program has different eligibility criteria for admission to BMEF Surat. Usually, candidates should have passed their qualifying examination from a recognized board/university. However, for B.Ed. and M.Ed., there are requirements for subject combinations and minimum percentages as laid down by the regulatory bodies.

Application Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The full-time B.Ed. program at BMEF Surat lasts for two years and is a teacher-specialist in the secondary and higher secondary education levels. The intake capacity in this program is 200 students. Admissions to the B.Ed. course will be strictly on merit as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The format, however, will be according to the policy prescribed by the State Government, UT administration, and the University.

M.Ed. (Master of Education) : The 50 seats are offered by BMEF Surat for the M.Ed. program designed for those whose objective is to elevate their career in the field of education. This program also runs full time for a time period of two years. The admission criteria in M.Ed. are similar to those in B.Ed. The admission is based on merit as well by judging the eligibility of students according to their qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any selection process as may be decided by the state government, university, and UT administration.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) : It offers a D.El.Ed. program, but no information about its intake capacity is mentioned. The merit-based approach generally considers marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection will follow the norms set by the state government and UT administration.
