About Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mansa
Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology which was set up in the year 2009 is an affiliated college at Mansa, Punjab. Being an institution approved by the AICTE, this college provides engineering and management courses for students across its vast land of 14 acres. As of now, 260 students are enrolled at BIET along with 29 lecturers/ professors only. The institute offers five full time programmes out of which four are B.Tech programmes and one MBA programme to fulfill different academic streams. Having vision that focuses on providing quality education to its students, BIET has a long term vision of nurturing the future engineers and managers in the region.
Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology many well equipped modern facilities that make the learning process effective for all institute students. In relations to this, the campus has a good library that houses books of about 10000 from different field and about 50 different magazines and technical journals to enhance the knowledge of the students. For those people interested in physical activities, the school has a functional gym facility for body building enthusiasts. The new enrolments can enjoy both indoor and outdoor sports amenities depending on their preference. IT backbone of the institute ensures that the students are in touch with the latest development in the technological front. A cafeteria on the territory of the university prepares tasty meals and snacks, that can be helpful for students who want to have a rest and communicate. Similar to most institutions of higher learning, BIET has individual hostels for boys and girls to enhance interaction in a pluralistic society.
BIET has a total of five courses for its students, and all of them are full time. These include four B.Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering intends to establish Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and an MBA course. The approved capacity for total intake of all courses is one hundred and sixty five students. Though, graduation data of the latest year is missing, but the overall enrolment of the institute is equal to its intake capacity that is 260 which shows that its figure has remained consistent across the years of graduation.
Admission policy of the Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology is very simple and easy and is done on the merit assessment basis only. So, for B.Tech programmes the institute uses mostly the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main), which is a common engineering entrance examination across the country.
