- Type A (Maharashtra State candidate) - Candidate Passing SSC (Std. X) and HSC (Std. XII / 10 +2 level) examination or equivalent examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra state.
- Type B (Maharashtra Domiciled candidates) - Candidate Passing SSC (Std. X) and/or HSC (Std. XII / 10 +2 level) examination (any stream) or equivalent examination from a recognized institution outside Maharashtra state. And Candidate/ Father / Mother/ Husband of the candidate is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra.
