Budha College of Education, Karnal was established in 2007 as a pioneer teacher-training institute in Haryana, India. It is a co-educational college offering courses essentially in special educationist programmes. The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University and has approval from NCTE for assuring quality education in the field of teaching. The institution is set across 6 acres. With these two major programs, the focus of the college becomes directed towards teacher training with an aim to prepare its students for successful teaching careers.
Admission to Budha College of Education is as per guidelines framed by NCTE, Kurukshetra University, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and by the State Government. Admission to B.Ed. is through counseling based on reservations in accordance with the Govt. rules. In the case of D.El.Ed., admission shall be based on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or Entrance Examination conducted by concerned authorities as per policies prescribed by the State Government.

For B.Ed. programs, a candidate needs to fulfill graduation from a recognized university. D.El.Ed. needs a holding “pass” status in 10+2 exams. The State Government or the University that is going to affiliate the College for the concerned program can recommend some additional academic requirements or age limit to be considered.

2. Application form: Candidates have to get an application form and fill it in. It can be made available online, either through the college website or from the college admission office.

4. Entrance examination: Candidates will appear in the entrance test for the programs having an entrance examination by the schedule provided by the respective authority.
5. Merit List Preparation: Based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance test marks, a merit list shall be prepared in accordance with the reservation policy of the government.
6. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates for B.Ed. would be called for counseling wherein they will select their desired course according to their rank and availability of seats.
7. Document verification: Original documents of candidate verified by the college during the counseling/admission process.
8. The selected candidate will pay the prescribed fee in order to confirm his/her admission.
9. Orientation: Admitted students to the college will undergo an orientation program on college rules, regulations, and academic structure.
Degree wise Admission Process
The B.Ed. course, of which Budha College of Education has an approved intake of 200 seats, has an admission process based on merit determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The admission process shall honestly abide by the policies laid down and provided by the Government of the State, U.T. Administration, and the University. The course length is 2 years.
For the D.El.Ed. course, 50 candidates are taken for admission. The D.El.Ed. admissions are based on merit by considering the qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination marks. The admission process follows regulations as prescribed by the concerned State Government/U.T. Administration. The length of this program is also two years.
