Capital College of Higher Education, Kohima was established in 2004 It is an affiliated college located at P.R. Hill, Kohima, Nagaland.. As a private institute, the college occupies a 2-acre campus and currently has 4 degree programme, including 11 courses mainly in Arts and Science. The college occupies a total of students of 254 and total faculty strength of 22 which show good student faculty ratio. The institution is guided by the ethos of offering quality education across disciplines of Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, English, History, Sociology and Political Science.

To strengthen students’ educational process the college has developed the following facilities. Several learning resources centre equipped with books, nationally and internationally important newspapers, magazines, and professional journals are updated periodically. There are two hostels for girls separately for out-station students for safe and comfortable stay independently. The college also provides sports facilities for the use of sports personel, and the canteen for the provision of basic foods to both staff and students. It also has an auditorium for occasions and seminars and transport facilities for those students and employees who use group transport. Emergency First aid facilities are available on the campus in a Health centre for any sudden illnesses that may occur. The college is fully aware of technology in teaching practices, with smart classes and ICT integrated teaching facilities to support newest methods of teaching.

Capital College of Higher Education teaches a wide list of full-time undergraduate courses and programmes. The institute offers 11 courses which are BA and B.Sc having certain branches. BA promotes honours courses in English, History, Sociology and political science while B.Sc promotes honours courses in Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and botanical.
