Christ College is a co-educational college. It offers an undergraduate as well as postgraduate curriculum, preferring merit and following state Government and university regulations relating thereto. The policy for admission hinges entirely on marks obtained at the qualifying stage, either self-sufficiently or in conjunction with the nature of an entrance test. The admission to various programs is always synchronized in terms of the academic calendar, as such, starting applications for admissions a few months before the commencement of the academic year.

For most programs, the eligibility criterion of merit is that a candidate must complete 10+2 from a recognized board. The marks of the qualifying exam are the only basis for admission. For certain courses such as B.Ed and D.El.Ed, admission is predicated solely on merit-based passing of qualifying exams/entrance exams, as determined by the state.

Application Process

The application process at Christ College, Jagdalpur generally consists of:

1. Obtain the application form: Interested applicants will somehow procure the application form from the college admission office or download it through the official college website. 

2. Fill out the application form: Totally fill in all obligatory columns of the application form accurately. Double-check that every personal and academic detail is highlighted fitly.

3. Attach required documents: Affix and attach all essential tickets, which may comprise:

• Passport size photographs
• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, graduation as applicable)
• Transfer certificate from the last attended institution
• Character certificate
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Any other certificates or documents specified by the college

4. Submit the application: Candidates have to submit the duly filled-in application form along with all relevant documents to the college admission office on or before the announced date; however, each program may have an online application submission.

5. Entrance test/interview: For a few programs like B.Ed, the applicant maybe called for the entrance test or interview as part of the selection process.

6. Merit list: Post preparations, the college shall therein bring forth the merit list for every criterion set for the programs being offered. Students should keep checking the college notice board or visit the given college website to know about admission status.

7. Document verification: After the release of merit list, the respective shortlisted candidates will be officially required to come forth with the valid proof of their censored documents for verification at the college.

8. Fee payment: Those very concerned students will need to submit the mandatory fees once the documents are verified.

9. Orientation: Orientation would be enforced on all the newly admitted students just days prior to the date of commencement of the class.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Com: The candidate's interest to join the B.Com program of Christ College means considering eligibility for 120 candidates. Admission will be done on the merit list; consecutively, marks obtained in the qualifying examination with commerce streams in +2, or the equivalent.

B.Ed: In the B.Ed program of the College, there are 100 available seats. Admission for this program will be made only on merit, based on marks obtained from the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, according to state government and university.

BCA: A total of 60 seats are available for the Bachelor of Computer Applications program. Admission is based on the merit determined by a candidate's performance in the 10+2 exams.

PGDCA: The Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications has 60 seats on offer. Any graduates from any discipline can apply for admission, and admission will be based on merit in the qualifying degree.

D.El.Ed: Assuming that there are 50 seats for the Diploma in Elementary Education, admission is based on merit obtained from marks of qualifying examination/entrance examination from state authorities. 

MSW: MSW program conducts admission to 40 seats. Admission is given on the basis of merit of the students from various disciplines.

M.Sc Programs: The college offers M.Sc in Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, as well as Biotechnology. Each program is shrunken down to little capacity with restricted seats, i.e., 10-15; and indeed on account of the degree-wise-merit based admission.
