Maanya, CMC Vellore is a Minority Medical College which has 74 seats allotted to students recommended by the churches associated with CMC Vellore. And the 16 seats are reserved for Open Candidates. Out of these, 3 seats are reserved Candidates, 10 are for children of CMC staff, and 1 is sponsored by the Central Government. Now if you belong to the minority community and you are being sponsored by any of the associated churches, you will need a score of atleast 550 and above. But if you are trying under Open Merit Category, you will need nothing less than 650-675 for a seat in this Medical College.

CMC Vellore is one of the best colleges for pursuing MBBS in India. It is government, therefore quite less fees. Also there is huge value of this college.

To see the required neet score, you may check the previous year cut-offs. As per the cut-off of 2018, for a general candidate, he/she requires marks around 680 in NEET. The cut-off percentile is always greater than 50%.

The medium of language in CMC Vellore is English. But Tamil is the most common language spoken in Vellore, Hindi is also a medium of exchange. Shopkeepers and other local settlers know English and there is no difficulty in communication.

Fee structure depends from college to college. It may be 10 Lakhs a year for private colleges and 10k a year for government colleges. The minimum marks you needed to get till this year were 230+ to get a private college. For the following year, the cut offs are expected to remain similar but nothing can be predicted as of yet. For a government college, a UR student needs to score 500+. Hope this helped!

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Indian Nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs, and Foreign Nationals
  • No upper age limit as of now. The Candidate should be at least 17 years by December 31st of 2020
  • You should have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your Core Subjects.
  • 50% Aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST Candidates.
  • NIOS and Private Candidates are also eligible

Downloading of Admit Cards: 27th March, 2020
