College of Applied Science, Kuthuparamba (CAS Kuthuparamba) was established in 2000 in the beautiful town of Kuthuparamba of Kerala. This affiliated college, measured at a compact area of 0.1624 acres, has been gradually emerging as an important institution of applied science. With 305 students in total and a total Faculty and Staff strength of 17, CAS Kuthuparamba is a focused community. It currently offers 4 courses under 3 programmes offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels majoring in Computer Science, Electronics and Commerce streams.

CAS Kuthuparamba has been equipped with various striking features that provide the students with the necessary equipment to acquire new knowledge. This college is equipped with its own IT facilities; two air conditioned computer labs for undergraduate and postgraduate students. All these labs are well equipped with the current hardware and software learning configurations so as to offer stimulation grounds for budding talents to be groomed in order to execute the germinating ideas into state of the art applications. Electronics Lab is also pride of the college that provides students sound knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of electronics science. Courses fall under Analog and Digital Circuit Design, Communication, Instrumentation and Control, Digital Signal Processing and Microprocessors.

The concerns of a quality provision of education are evident within the college through possession of a standard library with over 2400 books in areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Commerce. Our library also obtains journals and magazines apart from books to ensure that student acquire a wide range of academic materials.

With a total of four subjects, all the courses taught in the college are full time. These include three undergraduate courses: These are B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Electronics and B.Com Computer Applications all for a period of three academic years. At the postgraduate level, the college offers two-year Masters in Science in Computer Science and Masters in Science in Electronics. Total Student Capacity as per all the courses offered is 130, Under graduate student’s capacity is 90 and post graduate student’s capacity is 40.

In the admission process, marks from these subjects may be combined with assessment of the all-round academic performance of the applicants.

B.Sc Electronics: B.Sc Electronics has a capacity of 25 students, essentially following the same admission scheme as B.Sc Computer Science. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have to be considered core in a candidate's study in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

B.Com Computer Applications: There are 40 seats in this degree which is primarily meant for Commerce students. The admission process takes into consideration the candidate's performance at 10+2 examination level, giving preference to those who pursued Commerce or related subjects.

M.Sc in Computer Science: This is in addition to Computer Science, with a total intake of 20 students. Admission into this program of two years is on the basis of candidates' performance in their bachelor's level, preferably Computer Science or a closely related discipline. An entrance test may be conducted by the institute or rely on one's graduation marks.
