Hello Md. Masthan,
Before I answer this question, you must know what engg is!
It's a beautiful field of study, which focuses on application of knowledge!!. Applications which can change the way people live. The essence of engineering is in creation. People build engine, bridges, robots etc.
As far as branches are concerned, CSE is the "hottest branch" now. You can see yourself the impact of computers & mobile in your life. Given the future opportunities, choosing CSE/IT would be a great choice.
But again, your choice of higher studies must be based on genuine interest, not on peer and other factors!!

Few companies in India are interested in Environmental Engineers. Most of the companies outsource there work like preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Plan and other jobs. And do not expect a good salary in a consultancy firm in start of your career.

Few companies like Coal India recruits good number of EE. In past five year more than 200 hundred EE have been recruited with initial CTC of about 79 Lakhs. ONGC, NHPC, EIL do recruit but in lesser quantity.

Placement is all dependent on your college profile. Make sure there are companies recruiting EE from the college before taking admissions.

Neither ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING nor CHEMICAL ENGINEERING is available at CEG...

Dear Nimisha,

Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements: B.E./ B.Tech. (Civil/ Mining/ Agri.Engg./ EEE/ ECE/ CSE) (or) Four-year B.Sc.(Agri/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Fishery) (or) M.Sc. (Geography/ Geology/ Physics) Note: The candidate must have studied at least two courses of Mathematics at the level of UG / PG in the case of B.Sc. (4 years) and M.Sc.

Mode of Admission: Admission is based on a rank obtained in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted every year.

As per your question, these are the eligibility criteria for the MTech in remote sensing in Anna University. If you have done BSc on geography which is of four years you can't get admission there as they want the four year BSC course or MSc and you have to have math in your UG.

I hope you got your answer.

Good luck.

Hi Ayush,

You need to fill the form of TNEA. The online registration of TNEA 2019 will start tentatively in the 1st week of May 2019 for admission to undergraduate engineering and technology courses at some 563 participating institutes. The TNEA 2019 admission process will be conducted by Anna University. The registration-cum-application form of TNEA 2019 will be available in online mode only and have to be filled before the last date by eligible candidates. Admission to different engineering and technology courses will be based on normalized marks of 10+2 (qualifying exam) only, and no separate entrance test will be held. All candidates who have filled the application form will be issued release 10-digit random numbers, which will be used for the tie-breaking purpose. Next TNEA applicants have to report for document verification at designated facilitation centres on the given schedule, the post which rank lists will be announced. Candidates included in the TNEA 2019 rank list have to participate in choice filling and locking. You can go through https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/tnea to learn more.

Hope this information helps you.
