36 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy(Ph.D) in Veterinary Public Health program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned and offered by Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Wayanad.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. Program – Masters's Degree in the respective/related subject recognized by the University with an OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at Masters's Degree level.Eligibility for Ph.D. Program is a Master’s Degree in the respective/ related subject recognized by the University with an OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at the Master’s Degree level. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent. Students awaiting results can also apply. They should produce an attested copy of the final mark list on or before the date of the interview.
Admission Details
As a part of the selection procedure, there will be separate entrance examinations and interviews. The nature of the entrance examination will be of objective type with questions on general knowledge and the subject concerned. Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, published articles, interview, and the extracurricular activities of the candidate. Candidates will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination. The minimum is 30% for SC/ST candidates. As ordered in G.O. MS
